Academisation/MAT

During the school year, 2019/20, the Governing Body consulted staff, parents and the wider community on a proposal to convert to an academy and join a Catholic multi-academy trust. The consultation was disrupted by the COVID pandemic in 2020 and suspended. It has yet to restart.

Bishop Alan has expressed his wish that all school in the Brentwood diocese convert to academies and join Catholic multi-academy trusts. The government has proposed in its recent white paper that all maintained schools become academies and join trusts by 2028.
