Admissions

St Bede’s school office is open for admission enquiries
between 9.15am-12 midday and then 1.30pm-3.30pm BY EMAIL OR TELEPHONE ONLY

In-year Applications

If you wish to go onto the waiting list for one of our current year groups, please apply online to Redbridge Council.

In addition, please complete an In-year Supplementary Information E-Form.

Catholic applicants – please email a copy of your child’s baptism certificate (with your child’s name in the heading) to admin.stbedes@redbridge.gov.uk. You should also speak to your Parish priest regarding a Certificate of Catholic Practice if applicable.

Other Christian and other faith applicants – please complete and ask your faith leader to confirm your child’s worship via an “Other Christian and Other Faith Form“. Please email this to admin.stbedes@redbridge.gov.uk (with your child’s name in the heading).

Once this has been completed, your child will be ranked against the admissions criteria and other applicants. We will contact you if a place becomes available in the future.

Admissions Criteria 2023-24

Reception September 2024 Applications

For children born 1 September 2019 – 31 August 2020

E-admissions opens on 1 September 2023 for entry into Reception 2024 (for children born 1 September 2019-31 August 2020) and closes on 15 January 2024. Please apply through E-admissions via the website of the Borough in which you live. Further information regarding making a Reception application is available via the Redbridge website.

If you would like to apply to St Bede’s as one of your six choices of school, as well as applying via e-admissions, please complete a Supplementary Information E-Form. This will enable the Governors to categorise your child’s application against the admissions criteria. Please email your faith documentation in support of your child’s application to admin.stbedes@redbridge.gov.uk.

Catholic applicants – please email a copy of your child’s baptism certificate and Certificate of Catholic Practice if applicable to admin.stbedes@redbridge.gov.uk (please refer to your Priest for guidance on obtaining this). Please ensure you put your child’s name as a reference in the email.

Other Christian and other faith applicants – please complete and ask your faith leader to confirm your child’s worship via an Other Christian and Other Faith Form. Please email this to admin.stbedes@redbridge.gov.uk (with your child’s name in the email).

Once this has been completed, your child will be ranked against the admissions criteria when they appear on the waiting list.

Admissions Criteria 2024-2025

Nursery September 2024 Applications

For children born 1 September 2020 – 31 August 2021

The application process for entry into Nursery from September 2024 (for children born 1 September 2020 – 31st August 2021) will close on 15 January 2024.

Our Nursery offers 30 hour places (either Government funded or paid for @ £20 per day) and some part-time funded 15 hour places (either mornings 9am – 12 midday or afternoons 12.30pm-3.30pm ).  You can check if you are eligible for top-up funding to 30 hours by visiting the. Child Care Choices website.

You are welome to apply for your child to go onto the Nursery waiting list for the current school year (if born 1 September 2019 – 31st August 2020).

Please complete the Supplementary Information E-Form in both cases. Supplementary Information E-Form.

You will need to send the following identification documents to us via email (to admin.stbedes@redbridge.gov.uk):

  1. Your child’s birth certificate
  2. Catholic applicants – a copy of your child’s baptism certificate and a Certificate of Catholic Practice (please contact your Parish priest regarding this if applicable).
  3. Other Christian and other faith applicants – please complete and ask your faith leader to confirm your child’s worship via an Other Christian and Other Faith Form.
  4. Proof of address x 2 (such as utility bill, bank statement etc) which should be dated within the last 3 months. A current dated Council Tax Statement is acceptable.

Please ensure your child’s name is in the heading of the email when you send it so that all the information can be put with a copy of your online form.

Once this has been completed, your child will be ranked against the admissions criteria and other applicants. The school will notify you if your child has been allocated a place in April/May 2024.

Admissions Criteria 2024-2025

Secondary Applications for September 2024

For children born 1 September 2012-31 August 2013

Information regarding the admissions process for Secondary applications is available via the Admissions section of your home Borough’s website.  All applications must be made online through e-Admissions.

You are reminded that you must also complete a Supplementary Information Form (plus listed documents) for all faith schools that you wish to apply to along with your online e-application (plus listed documents).  The Supplementary Information Form and faith confirmation requirements are listed on each school’s website or via the Borough in which the school resides.

If you are not in a position to apply online, please contact your Borough’s Admissions team for guidance.
